If you are dealing with the problem of trying to move liquid out of a large body of water to somewhere else, a submersible pump system is often the solution. Because a submersible pump is actually in the water pushing liquid towards the surface, it is more efficient than using a pump that is outside the water sucking liquid to the surface. As a result, there are many practical applications for these pumps.

Agriculture
If you are irrigating a field, or even just a garden, from a lake, reservoir or other body of water, these pumps can help. A pump can be left beneath the surface of the source water and can then push water to the surface to where it is needed whenever you want it to. The pump does not have to be run continuously.

Wells
Once you have a water well drilled, the problem becomes getting the liquid to the surface, and that’s where these pumps come into the picture. A pump can be left at the bottom of the well beneath the water and be used to pump liquid up. This is often the most affordable option.

Drainage
Perhaps the most common use of these pumps is to drain unwanted areas of water. These pumps are often used in basements, for example, to push water that is collecting beneath the foundation to outside of the home.
